Program Introduction
This course enables international students to gain an in-depth understanding of the essence and development of Chinese film culture. The program includes visits to film landmarks in Beijing, appreciation of classic films, and tours of film studios. Students will experience real film production settings and explore the stories behind the screen.
The program combines classroom teaching with practical study tours, with a focus on comparing Chinese and international film cultures. Through classic film appreciation, reflection writing, and related activities, students will improve their ability to appreciate and evaluate films. For international students, this program offers a systematic understanding of Chinese film culture while broadening global perspectives and strengthening cross-cultural communication skills.

Host Universities
Beijing Film Academy is a higher arts institution with a strong historical legacy and deep cultural foundation in cinema. Over more than 70 years since its founding, BFA has brought together renowned teachers, continued important academic traditions, and created many classic works in the history of Chinese cinema. It has also led the development of Chinese film education in discipline building, teaching and creation, faculty development, and talent selection.
In 2023, Beijing Film Academy established its International School. The academy has now built a comprehensive international student education system covering short-term professional training, language preparatory programs, inter-university exchange programs, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies.
